As a product developer you are responsible for the development of highly performing new soy products and the improvement of existing products within the different product categories by using existing technology or defining needs on process parameters within new technology. You ensure that the products fulfil the consumer's needs while guaranteeing robust feasibility within the different production plants
- You are actively involved in cross-functional development & improvement projects and responsible for the product specification definition. The product development track is defined from pilot testing till industrial validation. Knowledge and insight on ingredients and the effect of process parameters on the recipe are the basis
- You use different techniques, such as problem solving and analytical analysis, to support the development track, to increase insights and anticipation, and to shorten lead times. You may also introduce and install new supportive tools
- You advise and support internal departments on the basis of your in-depth knowledge on ingredients and recipes towards a continuous improvement of our product range
- In order to work in multidisciplinary teams, you build excellent interdepartmental relationships
- As a true gatekeeper, you build & maintain excellent relationships with external parties: external labs and suppliers in order to broaden our internal knowledge
- You broaden your knowledge on ingredients, technology and the market based on literature, fairs, meetings with suppliers, training, etc
- You are a fixed member of our internal taste panel
- Master's degree in bio-engineering
- 3-5 years of experience in product development within food industry
- Solid knowledge on ingredients and interactions within recipes, suppliers, production processes, analytical techniques or sensorial evaluation is a plus.
- Analytical mind with good problem-solving & project management skills
- Entrepreneurial: pro-active, self-starting, persistant
- Open to develop oneself
- Effective communicator with strong advisory skills
- Pragmatic and flexible
- Master's degree in bio-engineering
